INDOCHINA MOTORCYCLE TOUR OVERVIEW

The Indochina Three Nations Expedition is one of the most diverse and culturally rich rides we've ever created and it's back by popular demand. After our first tour sold out overnight, we're returning for round two with a twist: we're flipping the route and riding it in reverse.

From the colourful chaos of Chiang Mai to the misty mountains of northern Laos and the vibrant street scenes of Hanoi, this tour takes you deep into the heart of Southeast Asia. Expect untouched jungle trails, ancient temples, hill tribe hospitality, and a powerful sense of connection every step of the way.

You’ll experience the best of three unique countries: Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, with the full support of our Australian Ellwood crew and experienced local guides. All mechanical support, luggage transport, meals and logistics are covered, so you can focus on the ride of a lifetime.

• Start and Finish: Depending on the tour, it either starts in Hanoi, Vietnam and finishes in Chang Mai, Thailand — or runs in reverse. Please refer to the booking dates for the specific start and end locations.

• Duration: 13 Days on tour, with 13 days of riding across three countries.

• Terrain: A mix of sealed roads, dirt tracks, jungle trails, river crossings, and mountain passes.

• Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Riders must be confident on varied terrain including dirt, mud and rocks. A valid motorcycle licence and international licence and prior off-road experience are required.

• Accommodation: A mix of boutique hotels and authentic local homestays with western-style amenities including private showers and toilets (twin-share, with optional single upgrades).

• Distances: Expect to ride 80 to 200 km per day with full support vehicle coverage and regular breaks for meals, cultural stops and fuel.
