As we traverse across the centre of Australia on our 7-day double crossing of the Simpson Desert we will visit and ride through some amazing places. 

 

• The tour will spend a full 7 days in the desert exploring everything Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert National Park has to offer

• Tour starts and finishes in the Central Australian town of Alice Springs

• Ride sections of the iconic Finke Desert racetrack

• Enjoy a relaxing swim in the 36-degree Dalhousie thermal springs

• Ride the picturesque southern end of the Simpson Desert on some of the lesser-known tracks of the desert country.

• Enjoy a well-deserved beer, a beautiful pub meal and a night stay at two of the most iconic outback pubs in Australia, The Birdsville pub and the Mt Dare Hotel.

• Getting a picture with all your riding buddies after conquering the highest sand dune in the Simpson, the world famous 40-metre-High Big Red sand dune

• Visit Poepells corner where the 3 states of Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory meet

• Ride the full length of QAA and French line tracks

• Explore the historic Old Andado Homestead

• Support vehicle to carry all gear and meet us each night in camp

• Hire current model Suzuki DRZ400 including all fuel

• All food and non-alcoholic drinks including pub meals at Birdsville and Mt Dare

• 1 night Cabin style accommodation at Mt Dare

• Fully equipped support vehicle to carry all supplies required for the tour including camping gear

• Experienced tour guides trained in remote first aid  

• All permits and desert parks pass

We recommend that a good level of skill and fitness is required to enjoy this tour. If you have joined us on any of our amazing tour options we offer, you will know that we can cater for almost any level of rider experience as we have multiple guides and can split groups if required. The Simpson desert 7-day double crossing is a little different as there is no option to split the group when the trails get challenging. The first crossing of the Simpson from Alice to Birdsville on the tour is a little less challenging to get everyone used to desert riding before we tackle the more challenging tracks and dunes for the second crossing back to Alice Springs. If you are a beginner level rider, we strongly recommend getting some riding training before joining us on this tour.
