Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries in Asia from the majestic Himalaya mountain range, to the friendly people and unique cultural experiences. Nepal definitely has a new and amazing experience every day which is why it had to become our newest tour option on the Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures itinerary. 

Over 800km of the magnificent Himalayan mountain range stretches across the north of Nepal has eight of the ten highest mountain peaks in the world. This magnificent range overlooks deep valleys, sprawling pastures, and bustling Sherpa villages and is the definitely the drawcard and reason people from all over the world visit Nepal. 

From the second you arrive in Kathmandu airport until your departure you will have our crew there to assist you with anything you need whilst you are on your adventure. There will not only be our Australian Ellwood crew, but we have also sourced the most experienced local guides with decades of experience guiding tours through Nepal. The tour will be fully supported with support vehicles and mechanics so all you need to worry about is enjoying your adventure of a lifetime.

WHAT YOUR TOUR INCLUDES:

  • All ground transfers in Nepal, airport to airport, in a private vehicle

  • Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc Motorcycle and fuel for the entire trip

  • Accommodation (twin sharing in comfort hotels / similar) neat and clean

  • Ellwood Tour Guides

  • Breakfast and dinner in the hotel and lunch on the way in local restaurants

  • Mineral water will be provided during the expeditions

  • Medical kit

  • Mechanics with all necessary spare parts

  • Support vehicle to carry all gear, fresh water and mechanical support

  • All sightseeing tours as per the itinerary with monument fees (excl. camera fees) for the entire tour

  • Permit to enter Upper Mustang worth $720 AUD

Exclusions

  • Nepal entry visa fee (available on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu)

  • International flights

  • Any medical / travel insurance coverage and personal expenses

  • Any telephone calls / internet charges

  • Any tips for the guide, driver and mechanic 

  • Any items not mentioned in the included section

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Any damage to the motorcycle must be covered by the rider in full

  • Any itinerary extensions will be subject to additional cost

  • Costs incurred or expenses arising due to natural calamities, strikes, breakdowns and any other unforeseen calamities beyond the control of Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures and its associates 

DISTANCES:
Each day varies between roughly 80 - 400kms. We have a half day in Pokhara to explore the city and we have 2 days exploring the sites of Kathmandu and Upper Mustang on the Tibetan Border.

ROUTE DIFFICULTY:
There will be varying terrain on this tour and we will have some technical routes to keep it interesting. There will bemixture from open dirt road, bitumen roads with varying terrain eg, mud, rocks. Off road experience is necessary and a current Australian motorcycle licence. We have support crew with lead and sweep riders with you the whole time to assist through any technical parts. There will be roughly 70% dirt and 30% black top road. We have a back up vehicle running in the back ground that will assist for breakdown or emergencies. The support vehicle carries all luggage.
 

ACCOMMODATION:

We stay each night in hotels/guest houses with toilets and showers, all linen and towels are provided. Western style toilets are in all rooms. Temps in March range from -10 to 25 degrees C.
